Madame Rollnik
Fashion Doll Designs

The name Madame Rollnik comes from my maiden name “Rollnik”. I come from a background of tailors and was born in Berlin Germany where my paternal Grandmother and Grandfather owned a menswear store named Rollnik in downtown Berlin.
My Grandfather was a master tailor making the finest men’s shirts. My father as a young man worked in that store as a pattern maker and cutter and continued in the fashion industry working for fashion houses such as Carol Little, Rampage, and London Fog. My maternal Grandfather owned and operated a women’s wear factory just outside of Berlin.
Personally, I have been sewing for the past 35 years. I loved creating and fashion, therefore sewing allows me to fully express myself through the things I love.
Like many seamstresses I have always sewn for myself and the Barbie dolls I played with as a child. Later, I worked for a New York Fashion Designer in Mesa Arizona designing leather handbags. I then went on to design and make my own handbags and accessories in Scottsdale Arizona.
Currently I am an Interior Decorator/Home Fashion Seamstress with my own company "The 5 Minute Decorator". However, my true love is fashion for humans and dolls! Early in 2009 I was introduced to these amazing 16 inch fashion doll divas. I had never heard nor seen anything like them. It was love at first sight!
Slowly I came to know about Gene, Tyler, the Avantguard's and finally the Sybarites… I wanted them all! And most of all, I wanted to sew for them. I was fascinated from the first day, finding them so beautiful, I knew then, that they only deserved the finest fashions and accessories. This was the inspiration for Madame Rollnik’s.
